How to package the PET release film?

2023-05-10

Core Packaging Components

  1. Rigid Cores

    • Use 3-inch diameter cardboard cores with ≥6 mm wall thickness.

    • End caps (plastic/polyethylene) prevent core deformation during handling.

    • Critical for: Preventing roll telescoping or edge damage.

  2. Surface Protection Layer

    • Wrap each roll with anti-static polyethylene film (surface resistivity: <10¹¹ Ω/sq).

    • Seal edges with static-dissipative tape to block dust/moisture ingress.

    • Avoid: Standard plastic wraps (generate static) or paper (sheds fibers).

  3. Void Fill & Cushioning

    • Edge guards: Rigid corner protectors (≥50 PSI compression resistance).

    • Interleaving: Place anti-static foam sheets between rolls in multi-roll boxes.

    • Prevents: Roll-to-roll abrasion during transit.

Proper packaging prevents >95% of transit-related defects (core crush, silicone transfer, ESD failure). Partner with logistics providers certified in ISTA 3E or ASTM D5276 testing for validation. Always conduct trial shipments before scaling!
